Aaahhhh the double pale ale. When the hoppiness of a regular pale just isn’t enough :) I will start out by saying that we don’t love everything Flying Dog does, they can be hit or miss at times….. But then again who isn’t hit or miss sometimes?? The Double Dog by Flying Dog is good! It’s actually a lot more drinkable than some double pales. I had it with some spicy food and for some reason that really brought out the malt flavor of the brew. Personally I was expecting more hops so having the malt hit me took some getting used to but I made it through…somehow :) I enjoyed it at The Wild Cow restaurant in East Nashville and I believe it was just 5 bucks!
