It’s the Super Bowl and we’re hopped up and horny! Well…we’re drinking it at least. Josh is a HUGE fan of the Green Bay Packers and as a result he’s made Brian and honorary Cheesehead for the big game against the Steelers! Today’s brew is from Horny Goat Brewing Co. in Stevens Point, WI…it’s called Hopped Up & Horny and it’s delicious! Enjoy!

An earthquake on the set and Brian gets in trouble?

Yep. Part 3 of our review of Tank 7…which involves an earthquake on the set of Beer School TV. Also, Brian is totally in trouble after being snippy with the lighting assistant…his wife.

Brian keeps looking at himself and we finally taste the beer…

Part 2 in our tasting of Tank 7.

“Experimental Drinking”
Summer time is about taking chances.  You know, really going crazy and trying new things.  Like running naked through a field of daisies, Lion taming in the wilderness, swimming with sharks…….OR…drinking a beer that’s been brewed with hot peppers.  Of all those crazy things, take a guess which one we did! — ok so maayybbee Brian ran through a field of daisies naked but that’s a whole other post.
Our friends at ROGUE (Portland, OR) brewed a CHIPOTLE ALE that we just had to try at least once.
The beer is a dark red in color when you pour it into a glass and when you bring it up to your face you can actually smell the roasted chipotle peppers and (wait for it) jalapenos.  We were trying it with some Mexican food and that was definitely the right food pairing.  It’s good, it’s just a little difficult to get used to.  It actually tastes exactly like what you think it would taste like, a roasted, salsa(y) flavor.  We don’t know what else to say…..the name doesn’t lie.
Overall — we don’t think we’d drink more than one, but it’s definitely worth checking out!  We can honestly say it’s the best Chipotle beer we’ve EVER had.

The 6th Beer of Christmas comes to you from Sierra Nevada Brewery in Chico, CA. It’s their 20th Anniversary Ale…and it’s good! In this Net-V (TV on the internets) Brian talks like a British guy and the beer school guys get a surprise visit to the school. Enjoy!

Terrapin GOLDEN ALE :: Brian was hanging out with a friend in Birmingham, AL the other night…we know we know, we’re supposed to be Tennessee Beer Schoolers but hey we’re not going to lie and say we had a beer at a place where we didn’t really have that beer.  But we digress : Big shout out to The Garage in Birmingham.  It’s a killer little bar!  They only take cash (yes of course there’s an ATM) and they have an amazing patio that seems to go on forever.  Terrapin Golden Ale is kind of like a pale ale for beginners.  Seriously, it’s good.  We would put it in somewhere between a summer wheat beer (because it has a little bit of a fruity taste) and a pale ale.  It’s golden in color (why did we just write that) and it’s taste is pretty light.  It tastes a little hoppy, which is what gives pale ales their “bitterness” but the hoppy flavor is not overwhelming at all.  Overall it is smooth.  Not sure where they have it in Nashville.  If you know, leave us a comment!  B+
